Here's my mockup of the Mass Effect-style loadscreen:

Image
A few notes:
*The planet would change based on what planet is played
*Yes, I can change the loading bar images
*This is a rough-up, but it would use the campaign-style layout of text on the screen, so the description would be moved a bit.

Also, huh, I didn't know the little orbs could be changed.

Sure. Depending on the scale of the mod and how much gets done I'd love to port it to the Xbox someday, too. Have you thought of a subtitle for the mod's name? Might I suggest Mass Effect: Cataclysm? On the Xbox the mod would have to be stand-alone, so I could redo the whole UI *dreams*.

Wow, that would be freakin' sweet! Hmm, I have not actually thought of a subtitle, but Mass Effect: Cataclysm sounds pretty cool; that'll definitely be a consideration. Do you want me to PM you a sample mission script?

I've got it! Mass Effect: Genesis! It works because this mod is the genesis, or the beginning of the Mass Effect universe's merge with Battlefront! 8D

I think both my eyes and my brain exploded from the awesomeness! The only reason I can function now is that the awesome regenerated them fast enough so that it didn't cause any pain. Awesome work, Teancum!

I foresee that this mod, when released, is going to be a guaranteed download for me. :D

I have a new placeholder unit model for the geth! Thanks to VF501 for the Covenant unit model. Texture by me, however, and specular implementation by WULF.

That's a pretty nice texturing job. I like the brown one the best. Are the final units going to be set aside by different color schemes , or different models?

Thanks! The Geth Trooper, Rocket Trooper and Sniper will have different textures, and the Geth Destroyer and Geth Prime will have larger (in size) models (likely through scaling, but still) with different textures as well. The Geth Destroyer stands at around 9-10 feet tall, whereas the Geth Prime stands at 12 feet tall, although 12 feet is quite much for the stock interior maps, so it'll have to be around 9 feet, and the Geth Destroyer will be at around 7.5-ish feet.

That's exciting - there aren't very many maps where scaled-up troopers have been done well. Looking forward to when this geth released! :P

Nice screenshots and videos! The Halo Elite model works great as a temporary substitute for the Geth. :)

I can just agree great work exspecially on the effects. (for myself I like the rocket-effect of the Geth Destroyer the best  )
The only thing you might want to change is that the tooltips stick out to much. I mean they look cool but mayby you should make them more transperent.
Otherwise awesome work , ceep it on

I don't know if we can disable them, or that we'd need to. Anyone would just need to disable them in the options menu. It'd be somewhat a waste of time to go to all the trouble of doing it.

Thanks for the support nonetheless. :)

He said that the part of the GUI shouldn't stick out as much, not that it should be removed, and I do plan on fixing its size nonetheless.
