lol, let's get back on track (even if that track has punctuation and spelling strewn about).
Ok, so I'm assuming by what you said:
yoyoman wrote:I was trying to add this star fighter
to my map but it ceeps crashing why is this happening I did try but it crashes.
that you want us to help. I'll be making a list of "what to say when asking questions" at the bottom of this post.
So, adding Anakin's (that's the username of the guy who made that starfighter) starfighter causes your map to crash. Ok, got that.
Possible causes:
-(Your particular starfighter)-associated files aren't in the right places.
-(Your particular starfighter)-associated files aren't edited correctly.
-(Your particular starfighter)-associated files are missing.
-(Your particular starfighter)-associated files aren't correctly added to your map.
-(Your world) wasn't correctly edited to add starfighters/vehicles/etc. to your map. (the arrow)
-(Your LUA/BAK file) isn't programmed to add your starfighter.
-(Your LUA/BAK file) isn't programmed to add any starfighter.
-(Your LUA/BAK file) isn't programmed to have enough memory in the pool to add any starfighter.
-(Your LUA/BAK file) isn't programmed correctly.
-You had a munging error (stopping a munge while munging, or your computer's too slow and forced the munge program to screw up).
-You bashed your computer, or vice versa.
Further, you said that you didn't read the tutorials:
yoyoman wrote:I did not follow a tutorial I found it out my self ok now when I place it the skin is not there that I putt on it how do you get the skin on.
My interpretive translation:
I didn't follow a tutorial, I did it myself,
OK?!? Now, when I [place the TGA in the folder] the skin is not there, [it's a different skin/hasn't changed]
how do you get the skin on?
Line 1: "I didn't follow a tutorial, I did it myself"
About you not reading the tutorials, that doesn't make common sense. (Although common sense is not common at all. Makes no sense. Pun pun pun) Whenever you're learning about something new, you should at least take a look around and see if someone/something is going to help you. Similar to a manual, tutorials are "hand-made" and are there for you to read so you're not completely lost when trying it out for yourself.
The Battlefront 2 tutorials can be found at BF2_ModTools/documentation . In "documentation", there are 15 different Microsoft Word documents. Open and read, from cover to cover. Also, if you want more, look up tutorials here at Gametoast or over at starwarsbattlefront.filefront.com/ . They have Fierfek's tutorial, which is good. Read these, and you'll know why things aren't working, and the correct terminology and knowledge in this area of modding so you can ask better questions.
Line 2: "OK?!?" I find this mildly offensive. Anyone else who concurs, raise your hand.
Line 3: "How do you get the skin on?" Ok, so it's a question (that thing that looks like this:
? That's at the end of a sentence that requests help). You added a skin (aka texture, that's the correct terminology) and it either didn't show up, ie it didn't change, or had a different texture, or no texture (mainly white/grey). So, did you make sure to have the TGA file in the same folder as the MSH file? You must have both together or you'll get no texture, or in some weird cases, you get another texture. Double-check this.

One thing not covered in the tutorials:
When asking for help you must post an error log.
Error logs can be acquired by copy-pasting the exe in BF2_ModTools to your game's directory, pasting it beside "Battlefront2.exe". Run it (with disc in) and select your map. When you launch, press ` (top-left of keyboard) repeatedly until either your map goes to the team selection screen, or crashes. Exit out of the debug by hitting ALT+F4, then go to the same location of the debug, in your game's directory or in BF2_ModTools. Open, read. Read, read, read. If there is anything "Severity: 3", that means a 99.9% chance that it caused a crash.
Also, people may request your map's scripts. These you should know. Submit these automatically if they are directly related to your crash/problem.
