Specular map

Post by JimmyAngler »

In XSI, those wonderful tools by ande have thrown me a loop.

I have made a specular map for my texture, and applied it in the diffuse and normal map's alpha channel. I apply my textures in XSI using the Materials manager in the ZETools. There is an option for Specular. in order to see the specular I made ingame, does this setting need to be on or off? If it is on, What settings do I apply to the number sliders?

Thanks in advance.

The setting in the ZeroEngine_Flags section needs to be on. The Enable box in the Specular section is on by standard (at least it is always on for me). The color sliders in the Specular section define the color of your specular effect and the Specular Decay slider defines the size of the specular spot. A higher specular decay value results in a smaller spot.
