Is the online completely dead?

I'm on 1.2 patch, which I thought would bring up some servers to join, but I don't see anything in the lobby. I also get a [Null] message when trying to mess with Gamespy ID. Is the game so old that the Gamespy ID thing has been thrown away and absolutely no one plays anymore, or am I just having some technical issue?

SWBF1 online via gamespy is no more.
Gamespy got bought out and the SWBF 1 masterservers are all down.
(I'm not sure about BF2 or the PS2 stuff.)
There are still folks playing via vlan on Tunngle and GameRanger.

There are still folks playing.
I am an old PS2 player, so I don't know what kind of numbers you are expecting, but there always seems to be people on the Tunngle servers. Not hundreds... but they are still there.
Personally, SWBF 1 is the only game I play online. But I don't play much, so I'm a bad example.
