Hey, I've been kinda looking into map making, since I've been around here for a while and I was wondering what all I need to download. Is it just the BF2 Mod Tools and the Zero Editor or just the Mod Tools? Also, if someone could give me some basic instructions on how to get started, that would be great!

Yes, all you need is the BF2_ModTools. It includes everything needed to make a map, side mod, anything modding wise.

Hey, for some reason my ZeroEditor thing is not working, I keep on getting an error whenever I try to launch it. Please help!

What is the error? What version of Windows are you running? Can you run SWBF2 on that computer?

What kind of video card do you have?

Look at THIS topic if you have Vista. It sometimes gets it to work.

I have a Windows Vista and I keep on getting a Runtime error that pops up whenever I try running the Editor.

Answer the questions. Other than that, having a Runtime error doesn't really narrow it down that much.
It might be the error that I had, and which I fixed by updating my video card.

Or it could be the error I had, which made Zeroeditor totally unusable Anyway, hopefully not. But, even if you can't run ZE, you can still make mods (bit of a consolation I guess...)

I don't wanna make mods, all I wanna do is make maps.

I tried it, but I still get the runtime error when I try to run the .bat program.
