Conversion Pack 2.0 is the final release of the pack; it's what you'll see later this month/September.

... Not quite that soon. 1.9.1 is the version that's getting released. I have one last run after that. Bug killing and the addition of Hero CTF, then 2.0 will be out.


And for the record, I said I'd be done after the pack was finished.

I presume someone will post here when the closed beta is released to those who get it, so those of us who aren't in it, won't be crossing our fingers for weeks on end?

If you haven't gotten the closed beta in about a week, then you can be pretty sure that you're not in the beta testing group. I'm sure you'll see info when it's released, though.

Mav and I talked about who of the non-staff is getting the beta. Basically it's those who have contributed in some unique, but very helpful way to the pack. Each is being invited for different reasons. Basically we felt those folks who had 'given back' to the pack so to speak deserved a chance to beta.

If all goes well I hope to have the beta out to testers by next Sunday evening.

Well, I could always try to help, but what can I do? Localize - don't know any other languages. Model - Can'tt\. I Epic fail at it. Code - riiiiight. Like I know any coding. Effects? Ha. My effects aren't even good enough for me.

Well, glad this is coming to a close, and I'll make sure to get the final release later this year.

If it's packed with Zerted's shell, it will. It already obviously provides support for at least one custom era.

I got some more files from Mav, he was cool enough to go ahead and build Hero CTF for me. So it'll be in 1.9.1. That means any future versions will have only bugfixes, aside from one other map which is nearly completed.

Testers will be getting a PM soon. Instead of me testing everything then releasing a beta, I will finish compiling what I have, then it will go into alpha testing with our testers. We'll kill off bugs, then it'll go into beta testing if there were a ton of bugs to fix. If the buglist was fairly small we'll just fix the bugs and go public.

Dust off SWBF2, start hopping on XFire, and get ready for the ultimate mod.

I'm still working on Space Endor - there are no identifiable gameplay bugs (and I've played it a lot and it's already seen a public release), but it does still not work in MP. Go ahead and leave it out of this round of testing; since it'll take virtually no work to build into the pack anyway.
