Map Crashing in One Profile

This is quite frustrating. As the title states, my map crashes in one BF2 profile but not the other. Crashes occur from 2 seconds to 5 minutes into the map, with no Sev. 3 errors. The crash happens in conquest of both eras, which use default sides, and also in a CW Hunt-with-campaign-script.

If it helps, the profile without crashing doesn't have any completed awards, and the other has all.

If I was to guess, it'll have to do with startup awards, if it only happens in certain profiles. Create a brand new one, run the map, and if it crashes, post your error log. If it doesn't, well... Post the crashing profile's log. :wink:

Check the video and sound settings on each profile.

They were the same, then I lowered the settings in the account that crashes a while ago without any effect.

As was stated, some mod maps, unfortunately it seems yours is one of them, will crash if you use a profile that has lots of the awards. As you stated a new profile works fine.

Now your next question will be how do you fix it right, the question back is do you have modded sides in your map. If so try removing a unit at a time, reverting back to stock ones, and find out when it stops crashing. Once you get to a stable point in your map find out what is different about the modded unit that stops making it work.

If you don't have modded units are you using lots of effect? or do you have lots of objects?

A little while ago, I set the video options to their lowest possible settings and there were no crashes.

FragMe!: No, there are no custom units. The effects I'm using are some mist, a ton of foliage, water, and a ton of trees. Probably about like Dagobah's amount.

You say there were no sev 3s how about sev 2s that relate to memory pools?
Also try removing the water (it is the easiest thing to put back) and see if that makes a difference.

Sorry for the confusion. I had lowered them when I posted before, and it still crashed. When I put all the options to their minimum, it didn't crash.

So I removed the water, and the map works fine, even with high settings. Which is weird, since it was crashing before I added the water.

Edit: I just added the water back, and the map is working fine all around. I put the settings back on high, no crashing. I am totally lost, but at least there are no more crashes... :D

That happens sometimes with water, it has happened to me too, when I add water now I try not to overlap when I am painting and keep the squares at default size, not that I think it matters but it works better when i do it that way.
