The one behind the Galactic Marine was seen in the Battle Of Utapau. He was kneeling over a fallen clone trooper, so I presumed that he was some sort of medic. But considering that he's holding a gun I guess I was wrong. LOL

I do this for fun, for myself.

Are you really this overblown? Dude, I was stating an opinion. I know how to make maps. I have plenty; none of them are really release worthy. Just for your information, I
didn't download this map. That line of defense is getting old; get a new one. I love your other stuff. Geez, just learn how to take criticism... Seriously, I friggin'
complemented your work. I said I loved the new units. Then I went on to say that new units alone don't really merit a download.
For me. Hell, if other people download it, I don't care. I was just stating my reason for not raving OH WOW TOTALLY AWESOME REVAN! Jesus Christ, when you get a job, life is going to suck if you think everyone will adore you and worship everything you do. It doesn't happen like that. Deal with it.
P.S. Just for the record, I've released 4 maps for Republic Commando and have about 5 finished for SWBF. I have learned to map; I've also learned to listen to people and not straddle a moral high horse.

TheTao, you don't get it. I am not trying to hold myself in high regards at all. I am sure that I have taken ten times the amount of criticism that you have. I have never used that line of defense before either, as I have never had to. Maybe you should re-evaluate what you said and make it a valid point. I expect people to be like you (NOOBS), and complain about stuff. I never expect praise and fame. If you wanted it to appear as your opinion, you should have said, "In my opinion, I do not like this map because it is a redo of another map." That would have worked well. But, let me quote you:
*sigh* While I love the new units, these redux maps are getting old.
Thanks, the rest of you.

Well all Diet Dr. Pepper-kissing aside, I think the changes made to this map were awesome. There are 2 critisms that I have on this map, it's that there are too many Republic walkers. When they reach the citadel, they all get stuck between the buildings. The second is i think the map could use more tickets. There's so much fighting and units on the field, which is what I would include, however tickets go down really fast. That's more of a nitpick than a critism.

Over 1000 units?

I thought that there was a balanced amount already...

Umm, Revan... I think YOU should read what I typed. I think that's WAY more polite than "I don't like the map." I never said I
disliked you work, I said I'm just getting a bit tired of redux maps. Something wrong with that? Because seriously, I'm trying to be polite.

Guys, let's not start a conflict here!
Majin, EVERYONE else (including me) thinks the map is great. TheTao is merely pointing out that he has lost interest in redux maps, so he is not interested in this one.
TheTao, if you have no interest in this map, I see no reason for you to continue posting in this topic unless you enjoy the conflict that's going on.
Anyway, I think the map is great!

how can you say that? that he's a n00b only cos he has different opinion than everyone else?(including me. yes, i liked the map and i don't think reduxes are getting old)
thetao has the freedom to say what he thinks about this map and units. you take it too seriously, chill out
that *sigh* however wasn't needed in your post thetao.

It has already been started... there is only one way to stop it. I must summon Jimmy Carter!!

Oh my.
But seriously, sometimes people will hear your criticism on a map, and actually
not do anything about it! You might think something is inhibiting the fun of the map, but the author might not. Either way, subject matter, content, etc., are all up to the author. And if you think redux maps are getting old... you'd better put why. Otherwise it just becomes
Flame Wars  .

I dont really care but Iv picked out 2 quotes that made me laugh.
1.If you wanted it to appear as your opinion, you should have said, "In my opinion, I do not like this map because it is a redo of another map."
So 90% of all posts ever written on a forum should start 'In my opinion..'' ?!?! LOL! .
No. 2 is a doozy
2."And if you think redux maps are getting old... you'd better put why"
LOL! ,just LOL!

(thought it would be pretty obvious

)
On a more serious note I think Tao is has every right to voice his opinion and its not his fault if some people (majin

) get a LITTLE too protective over their map/s.
Only thing was the *sigh part of his post ...but Majin didnt take offence to that .
On the other hand ...people get really desperate for maps(hey , iv been blamed for the demise/abandenment of SWBF1 modding ...I should know lol) that a few redux's give the blood suckers

somethin to play for abit while the new maps get worked on.
EDIT : I dont mean to offend any1 if it comes over that way. Im just havin a little laugh at your expense

. What? whats wrong with that??? ...so sue me

Well since this is a debate on what we can/cannot say, I would like to point out that with message boards in general, everyone's going to have an opinion about something and it's not going to be overwhelmingly positive all the time. I don't sugarcoat anything I say, some people are offended by that, but that's their insecurity and not my problem. I am totally honest whenever I review a map, especially on what more or less could go into it. The point is everyone is entitled to their opinion. Whether we choose to agree or not is up to us. Agree to disagree, whatever......

Hmm, you don't all understand. I accept criticism. But TheTao has a badn record against him. He also posted something similar at SWBF Files of this map. He was banned from SWBF Files for a month for making rude comments EVERYWHERE against the staff members, mappers, and other visitors to the website. Staff members kept recommending his ban, and I even got an e-mail telling me to ban him. I would probably not gone off on him if he didn't have a bad record. Half of his really offensive posts had to be deleted. There is the chance that it is not the same TheTao, but I doubt it, as there is probably not another Lord Bandu, Rends, Majin Revan, or Era Of Desann.
TheTao has been doing this quite a bit for my older maps (and other people's maps). I ignored it (mostly). To his credit, he did discontinue flaming mappers and work for a while, but started up again later. With his two comments about this map, I thought he had started down that dark path again...
