euh another tip for the heroes maybe you can do luke skywalker just add the hoth version in the map and he already has a x wing so. For the imperial side i suggest Darth Vader, you can tweak a interceptor to look like the tie advanced x1

I mean Follow Me when you're in space, outside the hangar (on you ship) so you can make other ships follow you

Eskimo: I know this may not happen, we should wait until Xwinguy connects and tell us, or any other person who knows if this can be done...

Getting those commands to work...I don't know. I can't find anything on where those commands can be modified.

WOW! :shock: , Man you realy know how to do Good Maps!,I can't wait to explore the rest of the capital ship!!!, How many rooms (Excluding the corridors) has each Cap Ship?, I know there's the engine room, the Main Reactor, The life support system, the turret control room, the hangar, the shield generator room... what else?

Lets just say A LOT. We will get lost and perish in the rooms.

There better be a 1000 point limit instead of 180 cause there will be a lot of kills and hard points destroyed.

moncalamari's right, with so many things to destroy (+ points) the battle will last 5 minutes, or less, 'cause there has to be more units, I guess, for the battle to spread not only in capital ships but in space too, so it would be better if you make it to 1000 points, maybe more?

A short battle would be very boring. It would be a waste of time for xwingguy to do all of this stuff and hard-work if the battles last 5minutes. Please increase the number of troops, fighter, and most importantly the point limit to something very high (not like 10000 though) :wink: :lol: .

xwingguy, the new pic looks great, and even that rough draft of the Imp. Engine Room is enough to knock my socks off and get me to play more space battles... btw, how many rooms are we looking at and what is the walk time from one end of the ship to the other?

very true to imperial style, with the stairs and the dip-down part for controls...you certainly know what ur doing for the imperials...any updated pics on the rebel cap-ship interiors yet, or are you just working on the imperial stuff first?

i dont know, if the map is as big as xwingguy says, 10000 troop count could be a feasible game mode, like super XL or something (of course it would come up as XL on the game :D )

hey xwingguy i remember a while ago on this thread someone posed the possibility of how when a cap ship is destroyed you could stand to lose a fair amount of troops

Is this even possible or have you already incorperated it into your level?

troop count won't be a problem...Stager00's geonosis map has proven that. however i do have concern with points...i think i remember xwing guy mentioning stuff about combining conquest and xl, so it wont be a normal assault map.

well i honestly dont remember exactly what has been said, but i do remember that xwing had sed that he'd be boosting unit count fro the obvious reason that the map is gna be huge. last i heard, theres like 7 cp's to one capital ship, and he was looking at like 7 sd's and 5 mon-cal's, or something like that. but changing the point systems isn't a hard thing to do, its just a simple matter of figuring out how much points are given for each objective, then add them up, set 100-200 additional for kill points, then set that number as a points total goal.

By the way, have you considered using the Death Star Superlaser room/laser reactor for a vital system, like a reactor core? I think it would be very stylish :D.

Couple of questions for Xwingguy:

-Will the AI try to get to critical systems because these exellent interiors would be a bit wasted if nobody else is around inside. Perhaps you could use the same script that the snipers have (the one that makes them stand at certain locations to defend) for the marines... it would be great to have marines defending the ship, and for the shuttles could you add a path that makes AI land in enemy hangers and then make the sabateurs get out and go for the critical systems? it wouldnt be too hard to do i dont think.

- Could you add better paths for star fighters so they dont just fly around like imbolseals then crash into your own capital ship?

- What will the rebel shuttle be? the laat would kinda spoil the map a bit... i think a reskinned imperial shuttle with rebel insignia would be good, maybe a different colour to the theta/lamda/sentinel (what ever you are using) with a small red rebel insignia on each side. I know its not perfect but its alot better thant the laat it could be an imperial shuttle they have stolen.
