Somewhat... I still have it. I really need to finish it. :shock: lol. And thus every time I asked for help from everyone, they just skip over the topic. :crying: Lol. Maybe not, but that kinda what it feels like to me. Not playing the attention game or anything, but it would be nice to get ALOT of help. So, yeah.

What I desperately need help with are my sides. I read the docs and stuff.... it still seems a tad confusing.

The particle fx. I never messed with that yet. So, I also need to do those and stuffs.

And then I'll need better buildings (This is a major on my list. I can get the other stuff in quick though.)

Cause, I retextured Tatooine buildings with the DF JA mod textures...and let's just say.... they look friggin weird. lol.

Bespin buildings... I think will even look more weird. The whole problem is on the textures is that they have tons of different ones. Each one basically represents one side of the buildings.

My AI planning is down good and stuff, still need to fix that up maybe a tad when I insert new buildings in. The Uber-mode is set. Cause it was a pretty big battle, and I want to give that feeling, but I don't want to totally skewer the balance/gameplay of my map.

Help me, Gametoastenobi, you're my only hope. :lol:


That is my status of my map as of late. So it's been this way for a while now.

Edit- OH...and I would like to request skeletal corpses and the likes, for my map, just thought I'd say it cause it was on the mind.

u know logically, skeletal corpses couldn't have formed so fast DURING the massacre

ideas:

empire should have stormtroopers and either 1 of these choices:

-1 darktrooper phs 2 with arc caster and another one with a rotary blaster cannon

-1 darktrooper unit carrying both arc caster AND rotary blaster cannon

u should also have citizens as locals. the citizen could carry pistols, or just have no weapons or attack(they are citizens, duh!)

Well, yeah. Good idea. But since this is during the massacre, I'm going to use all DT phases.

1 class for Phase-1
3 classes of Phase-2
2 classes for Phase-3

By classes I mean, each one wielding different weapons, but being accurate.

Yeah, I know skeletal remains couldn't have 'formed' so fast, but, perhaps one of the weapons fried some of the people there? It's SW, it's possible. :D Considering we only saw a cinematic, we don't know 'exactly' how everything went on down there. Some could've been burnt to a crisp, while others only had a few blaster holes in them.

I will have the map realistic to 'Talay: Tak Base' as possible, but I won't sacrifice the gameplay. That's gonna be kinda hard I think.

It will be enormous too, I could say.

Alas, though, I still need tons of help with this stuff. I thought at first I could handle an awesome map on my own. Guess not. lol Now, since it's the weekend, I'll have more time with my map. So that is a thumbs up.. :thumbs:

well, phase I u would need a new model, but phase III was already made and is in the Polus map. I could also make a new jetpack for the Phase III, if you want. So, if there are some burnt to a crisp, put some corpses of citizens with blaster holes in em. Also, you should have thousands of scorch marks here and there and some rubble.

Well, actually, Phase-1, I did skin a DT Phase-1 face on a Magnaguard. :P

Simple, but effective. :P

The only real thing though would be the arm-mounted blade and the shield on it that I would need..

You can borrow the shield from EGG_GUTS Naboo map and remodelled it a bit to look like the actual shield. Vibro sword will be suitable for him because arm-mounted blades are un-do-able. (I think)

you could always make a short model of a blade only and make the DT hold it like a normal sword. it would look like it was holding it at the wrist. heheheheh, simple, but effective :D

A blade at back (or side) of the wrist is possable.
using geometry addon's.
Making it do damage would be harder though, perhaps use and invisible sword with sombodys animation. It might look like the arm blades where doing it.

I know this may seem kinda pathetic, but, I'm desperate.

I asked Pvt. Parts, but I kinda want a view from different people on this take:

Are there any easier ways to make custom sides? I read the doc, and I still kinda found it ..err..confusing, so I just thought I'd ask.

Any certain ways any of you make sides?

Edit- Meh, I 'Might' use a mix of bespin buildings too. :funny2:

Edit 2- Nevermind. All these models in this zip I got has a LOT of awesome buildings. Gonna most likely retexture these. :D

Update: Removed All Objects on Map, re-applying objects after testing my newly created unit, the Phase-1 Dark Trooper. :D

Going to apply the newly downloaded building models to it afterwards.

Update: I got new screens of my map. With a lot of the new objects on the map in play. :D

If only I had an actual overhead map layout of the friggin thing, then I could be more accurate with this. Lol.

From all that bunkers and buildings, it looks quite like a base now, but I think you still need to add more stuff. And make sure you include Phase III DT's in it.

P.S.: Do you still have my previous idea in mind? The one about Dark Troopers spawing in an SD and jumping out from the hangar. :wink:

well that was after the massacre, during the massacre sky was yellow.

you should add rubble and texture the buildings to be more gray.

i also have done a project on a Ph III DT jetpack, EAW style
