What I meant to say was that they are imbuing sleeper agents with the force (if that is indeed possible); and It's not a wild tangent it's a theory, a theory based on our interpretation of what clues we've got. You can't possibly expect us to make a perfectly accurate guess right from the beginning...
Fiodis wrote:Only, to the best of my knowledge, that was after Endor.
Oh. There's a hole in the theory. :? EDIT: Or not, we don't know how much time has passed since Vace was captured right? He could have been kept in some sort of stasis or maybe he does not remember what happened in the past year(s). It is a wild guess but it's possible. EDIT2: Hum, yeah, that's nonsense. Looks like The Big "L" is not the Lusankya.
Fiodis wrote:Have you ever seen Darths & Droids? If Force-sensitivity is fostered by micro-organisms in the Jedi's blood, obviously the best way is a blood transfusion!
They would need a lot of blood. :P

Just to clear the air, no one is being turned into a Jedi and/or Sith. That is silly. Vace Thermill is not Kyle Katarn.

I would've agreed. Crystals turnign someone force-sensitive are an over-used plot device.

He's not? They certainly look alike. :P
Looks pretty freakin' sweet. Also, I agree with Mav. Turning someone into a jedi just seems dumb.

*Sigh* I still can't land the sub after trying about 20 times... I've taken all the suggestions, i.e. go slow and hit land right when I'm at the bottom, etc. etc. but it won't land. Is there a FC command or something to assist in this area?

As your entering the tube, just slow down and spam the spacebar until it starts to land. Don't worry about if your close to the bottom of the tube or anything, just spam.

You know, seeing the storyline of The Big L, and considering that the third map in the series has the same name as Mav's first map, I have a somewhat good idea what Mav's planning. Won't say it for fear of actually being correct.

Does it make a difference if I use the joystick? I normally use one, so for me it's hat_up or something like that.

Just go down into it slowly and spam whatever button makes you takeoff/land. When you see the ship jump to a horizontal position but still moving down, stop spamming, it's landing.

Actually, they could take a small amount of blood, then clone the micro-organisms the way they did/do on Kamino.

Yeah, I know how to tell when it's landing. :P I just can't seem to get it right. Keep your fingers crossed.
EDIT: Yay! Finally won!

So I am probably once again overdue updating this - this map is a lot different from Aquilaris, construction-wise. It's almost entirely linear (which means that it'll need to have a completely separate new design layer for conquest), and it's really, really long. The map itself plays out in three different sections. As I go along, I'm doing all the scripting, modeling, and mapping at the same time (which makes it take a lot longer), but it's necessary to test this properly and it does mean that once I'm done I won't have to go back and then do all the scripting.

That being said, I'm finished with the first gameplay section, which is a platformer-esque section (this is where you'll primarily use your grappling hook). Next up is the "stealth" section.

Beginning of level:

Broken bulkhead door (animated):
Image
"Pressure pad" puzzle (as well as one-up heart in the upper-right):

Light at the end of the tunnel:

I could take four times as many screenshots and not show you all I wanted to; unfortunately I don't want to spoil all the surprises here and now. There are also a lot of new sounds that go along with this (which are unfortunately untranslatable into picture format). All the sound effects for this level are custom and not from the original game.

Looks awesome! I don't suppose you get any weapons other than the grappling hook? Because if not, getting past those units in the hall in the first picture could be tough, unless they're just models.

No, you don't get any weapons (all you have is a grappling hook, an interact "weapon", and a comlink headset). That's the beginning of the level, they're just guards in a prison.
