"Crater Battle"
I've had this map sitting around for a couple of years when my cousin had me create it on vacation. As such, it hasn't been the
biggest priority, but I've finally gotten around to making it presentable.
This map takes place in a small base located in the middle of a "crater." The map features two modes: CW conquest, and GCW
Wookiee battle. The map needs a few more props in the open "vehicle combat" areas, as well as some rocks layering on the floors.
Some terrain work is also in order, possibly in the "vehicle combat" areas.
I'm debating adding a new custom side for the Wookiee battle; I might add Trandoshans or Stormtrooper Hunters.

Huh, I was expecting an American Civil War based map upon reading the title. The map doesn't look too bad, but if you have the time, I suggest giving it a completely different look, something less Geonosis/Tatooine. Perhaps you could make it look more tropical for the Wookiees? Speaking of Wookiees, in my opinion, I'd like to see them face off with Trandoshans. (I can't seem to cast my vote.)

Agreed with this. Also, I'm not sure where "crater" comes into this map based on the screenshots. I see rock spires that could potentially be a canyon, but it doesn't look much like a crater.

That's from the v1.2 Patch sides, you can tell because of the cis shotgun and the droideka shield.

Hence the quotes around "crater."
While I don't feel comfortable completely changing the visuals of the map, I plan to add some vegetation, such as mosses and cacti. Also, I've added a few more command posts for a less boxy gameplay.
EDIT: Tweaked custom turret, working on making a crater.

I don't know what you mean by this; I have already edited the sky file and directional light values.

i thought you hadnt added a directional light yet because there arent any shadows. but i guess you play with shadows off.

That's it. Also I play with lighting on low and light bloom off.
UPDATE: Finally got around to burning terrain and fixed Wookiee charge bug. Slight lighting update(added a few omni/spot lights)
UPDATE: working on adding Trandoshan side. I will be using the Bossk skin of Skelltor and the kitbask/conversion of AceMastermind and Deviss.

You can take me off the credits. All I really did was take a sniper odf and copy and paste into into a bowcaster odf and change geometry settings. However, I did come across a cool looking bowcaster if you need some variety in your wookiee weaponry. http://www.gametoast.com/forums/viewtop ... 64&t=21392
