Login Troubles
Lately I've been having troubles logging in. I log in, but when I'm redirected out of the "you have been successfully logged in" page, it just takes me to the page as if I'm not logged in, yet I can see myself on the online users area. Sometimes I have to try fifteen times before it logs me in... and when I do log in, if I put the PC in sleep, it'll log me out when I refresh the page, but If I refresh it two more times, it'll log me in again... for two more refreshes, and on the third, it'll log me out, and on the fourth, log me in again. Consistently. That's not as annoying as the initial login however. Any Ideas?

Re: Login Troubles
To avoid any login issues I use firefox and go straight to gametoast.com/ forums as the main page is semi broken with logins and user accounts

Re: Login Troubles
guru, is the $_SESSION's set up correct? It may be one of the problems with the main page.

Re: Login Troubles
I go straight to the forums as well, and don't mess with the main page that much. I won't give up chrome, though.guru wrote:To avoid any login issues I use firefox and go straight to gametoast.com/ forums as the main page is semi broken with logins and user accounts
Thanks for the feedback.

Re: Login Troubles
the module that makes phpbb3 and Joomla share logins (play nice together) is broken and no one including myself has bothered to see if there are updates/fixes to the code. It has never really worked very well so who knows maybe at some point well try a different main page cms or Ill just make gametoast.com auto forward to /forums. For now there are less then 20 new posts a day on the site so its not a major concern.

Re: Login Troubles
if you decide to scrap the main page because of this, i can rebuild one. I'm to the point of php where i can do this kinda thing, or even get a web developing job.

Ummmmmmm.... Guys I'm not talking about the main page, I guess I didn't get my point across well. I'm talking about the forums.

Re: Login Troubles
Weird considering the same thing happens on a friend's PC using IE8, on a completely different network, but makes sense. Thanks guys.
