guys, what about Call Of Duty? I'm thinking we could attract alot of CODs if we made some custom maps? Of course there are alot of COD sites out there.

Or, maybe we could start modding Doom3? I play that game sometimes, and i know a bunch of people that play custom maps and what not.

The problem is there are too many mod sites for the new, modern combat games (Bf2, 2142, GRAW, etc.)

I am truly Sorry, mini', but it wasn't Player Models. It was good reskins. Still, Star Wars Knights of the old Republic Modding is not that limited as you say. You can get brand-new armors, Story Line Modifications et cetera in-game...

I say JKA

all its source files were released. The JKA communty is still massive. mapping/modding JKA is easy :p so people shouldn't complain to much.

+ I'm already a pro, lol.

yeah if you cant put models or maps into it then its limited, you cant just recolor things all your life, you need something thats truly new. JA would be cool, ive been doing it for so long though im kinda over it but id probably get back into it again seeing some new talent to it. i mainly mentioned source cause the possibilities are endless with it and you dont have to buy a full program to model and animate for it, XSI mod tools is all you need.

:o never new that you could use XSI, thought you needed maya or something :o

for hl2 or source? It was built on xsi and the modtools have a plugin for it.

Good question, I'm comfoosed myself. :P

Think Source.

you can use XSI for all of them, JA models are compiled from the .xsi format and the source engine has its own plungin for the program.

Games that I suggest (that I have played at least once):

1)Halo 2 (or 3 when it comes out)

2)Battlefield 2

3)Half Life

4)Republic Commando (but I've never played this one)

5)Train Simulator *Cough*

1) well, i don't know the limits of halo modding...

2) why bf2, there will already be bf2142 modding, and i think that bf2 will die away because of 2142.

3) There was hl2 modding sometime in the past, but don't know if anyone want's to mod the crappy-looking original half-life..

4) There was RC modding here too in the past, but it died straight away.

5) Well, what a surprise.

i say JA, i bet i could reel tons of people in here, the modderators over at filefront are @$$ holes, big time, they have no knowledge of modding yet they have the nerve to talk down to people who actually are doing something productive at the forums.

I only have 1 question in picking which game to mod, Can you import models to use as buildings ("Props") into JA's GtkRadiant?

If the answer is yes! JA all the way!!!

JA's eninge is so much fun. Probably the best saber duels to date.

If you're trying to reel people in, Freelancer! Came out 3 years ago, popular as ever.

Okay, I'll stfu with that now. :D

But yeah, JA would've died long ago had it not been modable (like so many other games). GT should do it.

One of my favorite things to do in JA is to start a singleplayer mission on a huge map, use a cheat the kill every freaking NPC in the level, and pretty much create my own missions by spawning certain NPCs certain places. Or just spawning a bunch of stormtroopers in a canyon with some mutant rancors around there somewhere. Much fun.
