A "rest" anim is supposed to be a sort of "ready position" to be able to react quickly, yet still hold the pose comfortably for a period of time. You can try holding a plastic lightsaber exactly like you have mace's anim, it's just not comfortable.
hm... he is a jedi who use the force and his own form, form seven/vaapad it is the base position, maybe the sword is a little higher.
Well, even for a Jedi, it would still strain his arm near his shoulder, I know it does mine. Here, lemme show you:
Uncomfortable:
Comfortable:
Moving the leg forward and leaning in slightly not only gives the arm room to go across the body without having to press against the chest, causing strain, but it also twists the torso slightly, putting the shoulder forward like most fighting stances do. You notice in any martial arts or sword-fighting discipline, you never face the opponent directly in the ready position (BFII standard anims are a terrible example of this, btw). You did a good job with that in Ahsoka's (amazing, actually), not so much with Mace's.
Don't get me wrong, I applaud you for getting custom anims ingame in the first place, it really adds to the mod. I'm just trying to help improve the look of it for the best effect.
Indeed I agree the knees to the front stance is awfully more realistic, and again, not to disbenefit the awesome work of the modders, the custom stances are great but as you see in-game many of the stances have movements such as a repetitive movement of breathing (Darth Maul & Starkiller, and should be applied to Ahsoka; Or you can see the "Jumpy" General Grievous). If you could work a bit more in that part then I think you'd achieve a perfect goal

Speaking of odd idles, the grievous crouch idle takes the cake. By far.

Sweet this mod has come so far since i last checked i love what you have done with the clone side can't wait until release! oh ya btw: if you have that much time on you hands to makes a lightsaber glow from a normal picture shouldn't you be working on the mod?

You don't know how much time Wulf is spending on the mod, he almost is working non-stop on it, but modding all day for such a long time mag get...boring.
You loose interest pretty fast, especially if something isn't working out right, and fixing little things (tons of little things) is getting annoying.
Things like "if you have time to do this, why don't you do that instead?" aren't really helping and may offend some people.

@LO65 Geez dude this is almost rude

. No offense meant but that's a pretty smarty-pants thing to say

. Wulfman is an actual
PERSON, he has a life too. He's not just some GT-profile that spits out chat.
LO65 wrote:...shouldn't you be working on the mod?
Short answer: no
Long answer: nooooooooooooooooooooooo
Just a minor grammar nitpick, "shouldn't you" is an awfully strong phrase in this case. While I'm sure you probably meant to say something like: "couldn't you" or "cuud u plz" and this is probably just a word use fail... I still have to say, that sounds like, "bob,
shouldn't you be doing your job that we pay you to do and you make money doing" not "
shouldn't you be working on the mod that you are %100 not required to do or even make a profit from and have no obligation to do so" like I said this is a word use nitpick that applies to everyone not an attack on your sentence.
@THEWULFMAN I noticed in the trailer how their are new bullet impact fx that leave a little cheat decal behind. One question: when you shoot something like a steep cliff does the impact stay the same and look all funky/perpendicular against the ground like in BFX or have you found some revolutionary way to change it so that it looks like an actual decal system?

@LO65
Something that takes 10 minutes tops(I was out of practice)is not really wasting my time, and it was for a joke. I also love doing sfx

, in addition to modding(I also love sound editing)
@Spiderpig
Yes, I Concur,

it can get tedious after a wh..CTD Diet Dr. Pepper.
@mike
No sadly, It has the same thing BFX had. Actually I keep inteding to remove the decal but never get around to.Any time I edit that fx it breaks and doesnt show up ingame.
UPDATE:
I will do my best to get the beta out with the next 18-22 hours.

Wow guys calm down. Jeez you guys take things so seriously. What i said was a joke. Nice work in ten minutes wulf!
Just a minor grammar nitpick, "shouldn't you" is an awfully strong phrase in this case.
For goodness sakes it was a part of the joke and a question.
Things like "if you have time to do this, why don't you do that instead?" aren't really helping and may offend some people.
I already know that dude, i have been here long enough to know that
Tone it down guys. Now i am going to get yelled at for this post but i think that this post is necessary.

Take from someone who ha made this mistake many a time before... If you intend to make a joke, I suggest you make that clear. With no

smilie and no
there is no way for us to knwo your joking via text. Your "tone" came across as serious, as we had no idea you were joking. Half of what we say is How we say it. You can say the same sentence twice with 2 very different meaning just with a different tone of voice.
Anyway, here is a random screen.

man that clone has been playing around in the mud a bit too much for his own good =P shouldnt he be blasting droids instead XD
Edit: then again its more of a smoky color, so i guess he could be grenade fodder?
