Objects scaled up in land maps AND not have them dissappear when you look at them funny? I kno I've asked this question before, but it's quite essential to the sucess of my maps, as I have two now that require scaling. Perhaps there is a way to create a lowrez file manually? Because neither of the objects I want to scale have lowrez files. What exactly transpires when the camera moves - is it something I can change?

Those files probably have the lowrez version built into the model. You might change sky settings so that the LOD distance is farther away.

Thanks. Forgive me....LOD? I can't seem to find that peramiter in the sky files I have looked at.

Never mind, I figured it out - it's in the options menu, not the sky file. Anyway, it doesn't help. What I'm thinking of, tho, are these:
1: Making the lowres view all ranges, and no opportunities for hi - rez. I think it's bass ackwards, because the trees dissappear only when I'm up close and turn slightly to the side. The only problem is that this will effect every other entity on the map as well, and this level won't look very good. Conversely, if it's not as bass ackwards as I thought, it would severly lag out the map and it would be completely unplayable. Maybe there's a way to edit each individual low/highrez ranges?
2: Make a lowrez file for those objects. I'm not exactly sure how to accomplish this properly, as the thing won't do any good unless it can be implimented in a fasion that will solve my problem (so that it doesn't dissappear when you shift at certain angles).
3: Make a completely new model, which would require XSI full version, which I don't have.
My maps are dyin here! Any insights into this phenomenon would be greatly appriciated - I don't think it's a memory problem at all, it's something to do with the object itself - there's something that's not getting scaled along with everything else, something that's telling it is completely out of my visibility angle when it really isn't.
