Yeah there is a really tiny mini repulsorlift instead of a chair can´t you see it ? :P

No actually I think the pedall anymations wouldn´t fit anymore when Duck would add a chair.

yes, indeed in the rc the ewebs have a chair and a powergenerator connected to it with cables. we decided to cut both because it is a dropable turret so it would be/look a little weird if it was equipped with a chair and a power generator.
i think the standing piloting makes the eweb look a little more mobile.

for those who couldnt play the beta:
this is an area we showed very little of until now. it is the atte lifts in the first hangar.
i decided to improve the attemodel because the stock model looked too "weak" and inaccurate in my opinion.
of course andeweget made an awesome specmap for it.

for those who played the beta: here you can see a part the new lighteffects that we added.

There are light effects now, in addition to the original blue light, because we got a suggestion/idea from Mav in his beta report, which we thought would really work well for the map. So it got implemented. Somewhat going for this look here, by the way:

That makes significantly more sense.

Though, with the small space youre working with, you probably only want 4 lights (maybe its just the screenshot angle, but it looks like there are more. Forgive me if I'm wrong)
Also, the light is blue in AQT's reference pic because its outside against the night sky. Inside a hangar, you'll probably want to go more white/silverish-grey than blue.

On a more serious note, love the new AT-TE, the parts actually look real instead of cubes with textures.

there are more lights, one for each lamp on the lift, so 4 shine up and 4 shine down.
i added similiar beams to the tunnels (the long large hallways with pipes on the top) in order to add some color variation. because the environment is generally grey i wanted to break it up a little with colored lights.
you are right, they are pretty unrealistic because the map is not that dark. i wanted to make areas like the tunnels and attechambers darker through bounded lights but in this case its not possible so i made the overal lighting a little darker.
i personally prefer the saturated unrealistic lights, i hope that not too many people dont like that.

But on the first pic it looks to me more like a transparency cube than light. Is there a way to make the edge more soft??

we got a large announcement to make: the map will finally be released tomorow, friday the 16th!
we havent decided in which timezone to release it so it might be released 2-5 hourse earlier or later than you think :P

Yay! :D I'll be playing that for sure. Maybe we could set up a server for a few people to play on after the release. :)

Okay, from the first screenshot's angle, the blue lighting looks much better on the AT-TEs than it did. I still think it would be better with a whiter light, as it was in RC, but it looks just fine as is, and in the end, it's the modder's preference, not mine.
