Underwater map

I know this has been asked before, and I KNOW Galactic_Marine did this, but he's kinda out of modding and didn't reply! Well, you probably guessed it, but how do i make my map underwater? I know i need to change the sky file, and add precipitation. Can someone please write a (short) descriptive tutorial on how to do this? Note that I'm new to mapping, so don't expect me to understand things which are not suitable for noobs
Thanks in advance

I've seen one or two where it was nothing but a custom sky and upside-down snow for bubbles...

On kamino serene there is a low gravity level, but apart from that, a new sky, and upside down snow balls, that's it except adding water trail effects. I would use Kamino Serene as a good reference point.

I'm not a modder in any way at all but I think maybe if you look at the Jetpack odf and like tamper with that a bit in a new side you could add the water effect quite easily. I don't really think you'll need to put in real water if you can tamper with the gravity a bit and make it look like you're underwater through the means of a big plastic bubble like you see in episode 1...
I don't know if any of the above is possible. Just a theory.

If nothing else, I do beleive that you could simply make a ton of water, but add no damage regions to it.

That won't work.
You can't remove it's damage.

You could add slight dark blue lighting and a Bubble effect.

Remember though, you can add a negative-valued damage region to the areas with water so that the healing of the region cancels out the damage of the water.
But I honestly think that editing the sky and lighting makes a much more realistic effect, as SWBF2 water is kinda.....bland.

Only problem, is that the screen would flash red constantly.

Plus, if you'd use "real" water, many weapons wouldn't fire anymore. Sky + lighting + bubbles and maybe some blurryness'd be great.
Oh and units that jump high and slowly

Ok, think I've got this. Can someone please tell me where to get the bubbles/snow files, and how to add them? Editing a sky, i guess that's retexuring. Editing sides is not a problem to me as well, so I can do that. For now, thank for the help, and i can't wait for those bubbles! Also, i wondered how you could put blurness into a map.. Thanks a lot!

You might want to contact penguin, she is working on a great underwater map, but beta spots was closed a long time ago.
(I was one of the testers, and it was great

Ummm...underwater with water sorta is do-able, if you want a map with both land and water
To stop units taking damage you just find the line in the odf of said unit (can't remember what it's called) and put it to "0"
Melee weapons and vehicle weapons work underwater, not sure if you could give a vehicle weapon to a troop and make it work though...

Thanks, will look into that! I now have the sky+precipitation system, but I'll check this...
