We'll be holding a BF2142 Conquest Week if you're interested. With the release of a couple of Unlock mods new players who haven't picked up enough Unlocks will be able to compete on a fair battle field. Hope to see you there

Here's the run down.

Signups start: 2007-01-19 12:00 AM EST 19th January 5:00 PM GMT
Signups end: 2007-02-23 12:00 AM EST 23rd February 5:00 PM GMT

Game starts: 2007-02-23 12:00 AM EST 23rd February 5:00 PM GMT
Game ends: 2007-03-02 12:00 AM EST 2nd March 5:00 PM GMT

Battle description:

Conquest Week 2 is a week long Battlefield 2142 battle between signed up clans.

Rankings are divided into Clan and Player rankings. As the rules currently stand, Clans need to have a minimum of 4 active members battle in a combined minimum of 24 games to have clan statistics and rankings applied. Clans unable to field a minimum of 4 active members can still have individual player statistics and rankings applied as long as individual members play a minimum of 6 battles.

All battles are played strictly in accordance with the rules.

CW2 is going on now.

Oh well, there goes another one wasted. We really need more people to do thse things.

Would love to do, but as you know my video card broke down. Since it's still under warranty I can let it have repaired, but I have to wait another month until I get it back (yes 1 month is up from a total of 2 months)

How would people feel about "in house" GT BF2142 challenges? They'd be no fancy clan v clan fest, they would simply involve the tracking (and comparing) of GT user stats to see who of those performed the best on the battlefield.

Stats would be "tracked" for a week. Players would be free to play whenever, whoever or whatever they wanted to. No restrictions at all, other than abiding by the usual BF2142 rules of combat.

At the end of the week the table of results (the best on the battlefield) would be posted in the forum. I'm working on and currently testing advanced BF2142 stats analysis, so we could do something more challenging in the near future, however how are people with the idea of a week long "Dog Tag Challenge" to make up for missing out on Conquest Week 2?

Yeah both of those sound cool. Would the dog tag challenge be just number of knife kills? Also, how would you actually do the stats tracking? Good job we have people like you round here to come up with fun ideas

It would go on number of knife kills, however amount of time online would also be taken into account, the tags/time ratio (a better test of skill!). If this is something that people would like to take part in then let me know and if enough people are interested then I'll get something sorted.

I'll help ya if ya want. But i still don't have BF2142 yet. I prolly won't till after my exams. But at least then i will have 3 months of nothing to do so yeah, it's prolly worth it!

I'll create a new thread in the BF2142 section to see how much enthusiasm there is for the contest. If we can get what I'd consider enough interest then I'll get it properly setup and underway in the competition forum.
