RE: problem with zero
Is SWBF2 playable?
Are you running Windows 2000?
What is your desktop color settings?
Have you tried running the program in Windows 2000 combatilibity mode?
Have you read the 'getting started guide' in the modtool's documentation folder?

Oooh, don't know how well ZeroEdit runs on Vista. Can anyone confirm that it even works?

RE: problem with zero
I said nothing about your screen resoultion. I said screen colors. First, put ZE in Windows 2000 combatilibity mode. Next, go through all your color settings (8-bit, 16-bit, 32-bit, 64-bit, etc...) and see if it works under one of them.
Changing theses is what solved it for most people. You could try the other combatilibity mode toos, if the above doesn't work.

RE: problem with zero
Well, try reinstalling the modtools. If that doesn't work, search "visual c++ runtime library error" on google and look at those topics.
I know they're for errors with Microsoft Office and such, but maybe they're related.

RE: problem with zero
I found my problem. If you use Vista to format your computer ZeroEditor will not run. So your best bet is to upgrade from XP that it formated and not Vista. I think Windows Vista uses a different forum of NTFS.

RE: problem with zero
Thats really wierd. Are you sure NTFS is the problem and not WinXP has the required rentime libraries and they are kept when upgrading?

It is NTFS because when I tried to instal XP after I formated it with Windows Vista I got the same error.[RDH]Zerted wrote:Thats really wierd. Are you sure NTFS is the problem and not WinXP has the required rentime libraries and they are kept when upgrading?

RE: Re: RE: problem with zero
But when you upgraded from XP, it worked? Maybe that's it...
I ran XP for a long time and never had any problems, and still have none after upgrading to Vista Home Premium. Try backing up your stuff, reinstalling XP and then upgrading to Vista.
Also, there aren't different versions of NTFS. Otherwise they would call it something different. (VFS? I dunno...
) Anyway, both XP and Vista use the same file system, so that's not it.
