Munge Freezing
I'm trying to munge a test map that I've been using, but it always freezes after this line:
_CreateShadowMesh(lod:0): created hires shadow (226 verts 1322 edges)
Any ideas as to why?

RE: Munge Freezing
Just wait. Community made models can take up to two or three hours to munge.

yeah the bigger a model is the longer it takes......i waited for my munge for the custom invisible hand over 3 hours....then we split it into 3 parts and after that it took only 10 seconds......!

When VisualMunge doesn't close properly (you hit stop or force it to quit in the middle of a munge) certain files don't get cleaned up properly anymore. You might not notice the errors right away, but it might drive you crazy later trying to figure out why [insert random error here] is happening. It's best to just nip the problem in the bud while you know what it is.Master Fionwë wrote:Okay, but why? I mean, what would happen if I didn't?

I can't believe I'm finding this out now!!! I have been having an insanely difficult time with one of my rifleman, and now I know why. I had closed a munge previously to finding the error, because I thought that it was finished. And I didn't do a clean afterwards, manual or other. Maybe that's why the emp launcher didn't show up ingame either. Thank you guys for telling me this, now I can fix the problem. Well, actually, how would you fix it?

If you think your code and stuff is all right, just do a manual clean and then munge everything again.Master Fionwë wrote:I can't believe I'm finding this out now!!!
