I'm pretty sure I'm missing something...

. . . Because I'm crashing once I add lava. I followed Saturn V's tutorial. I added lava_flow under texture in the world.req. I used his FX file and support files. The only thing I know now is to just upload my dataSullust1 folder and seeing if you guys might fix the files -- I've tried for a week and I'm lost.

Anyways, I'm hoping it's something small. Previous versions before the lava work fine. -- Not that there were many 'pre-lava' versions, but still.

I appreciate all your help. You guys rock!

uh... ya, the problem is that your datamodid folder is named something other than dataurd1...

Yeah, but I've already compensated for all that. I don't have any files that reference URD1

I'm pretty sure I might have solved my probem. I need to check when I get home. The documentation says a 1x1 water square is a 4x4 grid square. In the fx file, there's this verb for water:

PatchDivisions(8,8);

Which I'm guessing means a 2x2 water square and a 8x8 grid square. I did my grid 30x30 to save time. I'll have to experiment.

Not to complain... well, actually it is to complain. I love the BF engine, but it sure has some qwerks that drive me batty.
