.....have fun trying to get it ingame bug-free with the face count at ~9000.
You could accomplish the same thing with a much much more poly-efficient model, so definitely optimize it before you even attempt to bring it ingame.
If you're going to delete the thing sticking out from the middle though, then it might work alright, but it'd still be a rather large poly count for something so simple.

(A) character for a new map of mine with a few addons (breather mask + scope glasses). Kitbash + edit + a few very simple bits added. Uses combination Psych0fred's naboo pilot and the ep3 clone pilot models.
(Doesn't require a wireframe if its a kitbash, does it?)

i would make the breather mask a bit bigger, otherwise it cant really serve its purpose

new jetpack models
(the wings are on 2 separate layouts, 2 separate jetpack models, one with them up, one with them down. i just didn't feel like taking 2 pictures)
(im thinking one could be an addon msh, and the other could be part of a jet effect (animated [kinda] jetpack folding wings?))
jetpack is adjusted ep2 clone jetpack, wings are new, antennae are adjusted, but from jango fett's head

That is amazing!!!!!!
finally, someone makes that kind of jetpack.
only thing, the wings' textures are kind of fuzzy
and if anyone is going to use that later, it should be like a jump pack instead of a jet pack

Thanks

yeah i just UVed the wings to a small part of the jetpack texture, didn't feel like making a new one at the time maybe i will though, but i have no reference
(actually, the "reference" was the lego model, which has no texture, just a solid black piece for the wing)

Small update on previous model, mainly to show wireframes. Differences are larger mask, lens' joined into goggles and clothing recoloured.

I do not know if mine is as good as yours but of course:
still have texture work and modelling to do around the head bits.
(I may also add a backpack? There's only the one reference shot anyway.)

Nice model Mav...out of interest what is the infiltrator refrence shot from? I vaguely remember there being infiltrators in an old (IMO quite bland) SW game called Force Commander.

Lol twins,

The helmet gets darker in game, this is pretty much done, just have to weight it proper, I hate shoulders, oh as per your PM sure will.
Edit: Lol what happens when you forget to turn off weight map prior to export

yea i know. I've seen the lego model before. I think these pictures are good:

Not much of references but good pics that might help.
Supposedly, the troopers that used that kind of jetpacks were part of the
Sky Corps

First post here in a while, now I have a whole load of models to show, without further waiting props from Stalingrad:
And of course the wireframes:
