Glad to see one of my old maps in there, but Aldura isn't a forzen planet.
It just happens to use a bunch of Rhen Var assets that really should have been reskinned.

But what was displayed was the jump attack, which is only two sabers in the stock game. Don't get all "technicality" with me, I've been playing this game for 6 and a half years, just as you have. I know there are 4 sabers during the combo and dash, but the move displayed was the jump attack, which has always been two sabers.THEWULFMAN wrote:Twilight_Warrior wrote:Question: doesn't Grevious NORMALLY have two sabers?
Technically, no. Stock Grievous has four sabers. Only two of which are turned on, except with a couple of his moves. Specifically his third combo move, and I think his sprint attack too.
Manderek's Grievous only has two sabers at any time.
Whoa there, cool your ion engines. I'm not attacking your SWBF2 knowledge, I'm talking from a modding perspective. At all times the stock Grievous has four sabers in his hands, with two ignited most of the time, as you know. If this was the stock Grievous, you would be able to see the two unlit sabers in his hands. Manderek's Grievous only has two sabers, one in each hand as you can see in the screenshot.Twilight_Warrior wrote:But what was displayed was the jump attack, which is only two sabers in the stock game. i would post an animated picture that is sort of like a stop motion that took me 20 minutes to make but i can't seem to get it uploaded to most places due to size and also it stops half way through the show.
LOL! I can't believe it!AQT wrote:A screenshot from something I was working on:
Looks pretty good, except I'd recommend hex-editing the Dark Trooper's specular attributes into the Covenant Elite's unit model. If you want, I can PM you mine which has that done.Delta-1035 wrote:LOL! I can't believe it!AQT wrote:A screenshot from something I was working on:I'm making almost the same mod! Look at these:

I can believe it for two reasons: 1) The Halo series is popular, and 2) Most Gametoast members have played the Halo games and still mod SWBF2. So it is very likely for more than one Gametoast members to do a map (in my case) or mod (in your case, I presume) based on this game franchise. As a matter of fact, SpartanA59 started a Blood Gulch map some time ago and stated a few posts up that he is still working on it. Culver, his predecessor, also did the same until he lost his source files. It is also evident that Lucasfart is working a mod based on some aspect of the Halo franchise (Halo CE) by the help topics he has made and the cool models he has posted. So how is this not believeable? We can all independently develop these mods and maps of ours without having the feel or need to be competitive. Just because our mods and maps share a common basis, that is some aspect of the Halo series, it doesn't mean that they will be "almost the same," suggesting that they will have more than 50% similar content. It could be if our creative processes are all the same, which I highly doubt. We can all very much instill our own individual uniquenesses into these maps and mods we make and continue to do what we like, and that is to create new content for SWBF2.Delta-1035 wrote:LOL!
