Nice work on that thing! Did you make it for anything in particular, or just for fun?
As far as suggestions, I'd suggest a more silvery, metallic texture where the white is, like this:

It was just for fun, and i agree about the shine and metal, it isn't textured, it is just a material. I might model the back and texture it, though. Thanks for your comments

Dunno if there's a specific tool for it, I'd have to look, but you would delete the polys with disconnected edges one by one, creating a new poly in its place with the N key (connect vertex/edge tool) and reapply the UV maps.

Try deleting the middle faces, and then create a new polygon using the "N" key.

Could also just do a filter points. Set distance to .001
(after selecting the points obviously)
