cool, can i have, same alot of trouble,
in other news, i can shed some more light on this mysterous subject, thereasons we don see this very often is because of how many condition there are for this to be activated, here are some...
-the ai unit MUST be following you, of your asking it to
-there must be a proper cover hintnode nearby
-there must be no enemies close
-and that just covers the main ones, this happens because AI that follow you, are set up to be more intelligent then more than normal, not much, just a smigen, this opens couple new animations for them to use.
still investigateing....
Yeah, very true. Bobfinkl just told me, that if the player stands still for a long time in stock Bf2, The animation runs...I'm gonna go check It out, and take another Vid.

I felt like seeing how the look around animation would look as an idle emote. Personally I don't think it fits too well together when you reload or something like that, but I reckon it could be fixed if the reload animation was changed to _full. What do you guys think?

a problem is that even if you rename it to _full walking will still override the lower body anims

Why do you think that AI following you have access to new animations?

Actually, I've seen this animation in every version of BF2. From the stock sides to BFX. Yeah, and the fact is in BFX, I just looked to my side, and there was a Clone Commando using the animation. That was the first time I saw it. It was in Coruscant. The battle had just begun, and everyone else was leaving the first cp, except for that one Commando. He was just...looking around!

Hmmm... with that said, Now I'm really thinking this has something to do with hintnodes. :?

You know, rather than pointing out Duck's seniority and trustworthyness, I'll just direct you to the file itself and see if you can do anything with it.
BF2_ModTools\data_XXX\Common\config\SoldierAnimation.sanm.
I will back up what Duck said, that it's not possible.

He made an animset in which the lookaround and checkweapon animations replace the (rifle?) reload animations. A three-second job, but I suppose one of the great goals of Americans is time saving.

Lol I see that so much. I wonder why they rush around so much, but then I realize I'm going to be late... :runaway:

On topic: I wonder why if idle animations were cut from the game (to some degree) they left this one in?
