Creating a jungle environment [Solved]

Post by CressAlbane »

Hello, all.
- Does anyone know of a good stock "hanging moss" texture? Preferably, it would be long. I found a decent-looking one in the Yavin assets, but it was a bit small.
- What is the best way to go about modeling foliage objects? Is it making the stem/root, then adding planes with the leaves as textures?
- What would be the best way to create a localized fungal spore effect in the air? I know of some things in Felucia's sky, but those would appear map-wide.

Thank you in advance.

as for fooliage modeling i recommend a special programm made for that. some of them are free some of them not. http://vterrain.org/Plants/plantsw.html here are most of them listed

i recommend frecle tree(d) its easy to use. you can specify own textures and customize your vegetation as you want

Yikes. After further investigation, though, it looks like many of my desired foliage objects can be closely matched by retexturing some stock models.

Any help for the mushroom spore effect? It's the question that's really stumping me.

do you mean like little spores floating around the shroom? You could try the mustafar lava dust particle thingys:

If you want spores on a map-wide level, edit the texture of the mustafar embers or mygeeto ash. If however you want spores in just a small area, I recommend editing the Dagobah fireflies.

Just checked out the fireflies and they seem like a great solution. Thank you very much, willinator!
