How can I put a custom side in a shipped map? [Solved]

I think that it will be a stupid quiestion but is possible use another sides to the original level???

For example i want to put a Side (in this case Clone Commando, for example) to the original level or the level that i want....

I hope that answer me soon

P.S.:I forgot something, the Side is for another level downloaded....

If you want to put a commando in levels already in the game, then you need to do this:

Tutorial

But, where it says change skin, you put the Commando in the Republic side, then you do the rest.
After you have munged you copy the rep.lvl and repshell.lvl from:

Star Wars Battlefront 2/Gamedata/addon/***/data/_LVL_PC/SIDE

to

Star Wars Battlefront 2/Gamedata/data/_lvl_pc/side

Remember to make a back up of the original ones.
Then you go to the mission.lvl, in:

Star Wars Battlefront 2/Gamedata/data/_lvl_pc/

And open it up with a hex editor, if you want to put it on kashyyk, you search for kas.
Keep searching a few time until you come to a bit that says rep.lvl, below it there should be the different troops, replace one of them with the name of the commando's req file.

If you want to do this to a map you have downloaded, do the same things, but go to the mission.lvl in:

Star Wars Battlefront 2/Gamedata/addon/***/data/_LVL_PC/

I think this is what you wanted to do.

But the trooper will appear in the level that i want????

I forgot something....

I have downloaded a level and i want to copy the Side (this no have rep.lvl and repshell.lvl), but it have in the SIDE folder xxx.lvl.....

Is possible to put the Side of a downloaded level to another level?????

If you wanted to copy sides from one downloaded map to another downloaded map, (using rep as an example) then you would have to make sure that both levels have rep.lvl files in them. If not then you may have to use hex editing. But I have NO CLUE how to hex.

There is a program that I know of called PSPadEditor that you can use for hex-editing. Now how to hex is a whole nother can of worms you're openin' there. I don't know how. But theres a lot of good hexers at GT. So ask around. But don't bug people too much!
