Ever heard of box-modelling? :P

If you present a cube to newbies at modelling they will laugh. If you present a cube to advanced modellers they will leave and come back later to see what masterpiece you have done

And Rebelscum, I'm definately gonna kick your Diet Dr. Pepper some day if you keep saying that your unskinned models are done xD   Come back when you have it textured :D

That disruptor rifle is lookin pretty good. Wasn't there a battlefield 2 mod goin on? Those models might be usefull (the ak and f-18)

I know this is way off topic (kindof), and perhaps belongs in a pm, but I was wondering jabba, did you ever finish the flechette rifle and arc gun?

Flechette launcher kinda.. it never worked 100% in game. ARC no.

dang. did the model not work or where you having odf problems?

I have an odf working that I was pretty happy with. I had been pretty stoked on the release of those models, so I got the odf stuff setup ahead of time.

Are you trying to be funny, or just plain stupid? I never can tell. First of all, where did he ever say it was a finished project?? Secondly, that model is an insanely sweet piece of work on reb's part, and after only 3 weeks of modelling I'd say thats pretty darn good! Look at the picture of the Battlefield 2 model, his is very nearly the same.

And I don't see you getting on the other 47 peoples cases who have posted unskinned models in this thread- what's your damage here? Maybe you could try to be mature for 10 seconds to give credit where credit is due for a truly stellar model.

imp_strikeforce, Qdin is like that. Plus, he and Reb Scum are friends, so he's joking.

PvtParts, the ODF isnt the problem, during export the texture got messed up.

impy, maybe - but he DID say on Shadowlan that it was somewhat finished and which were the reason he started on the other models :o

And believe it or not, but I actually DO expect better people to BE better. I don't know what you call it, but I don't expect you to pay for something only Bill Gates could affort.

But I gotta get laid, so you can call me temporarily stupid :P I've started having freetime again

I've never meant that a model was finished unless you can 100% say that you've been into all the stages i.e. modelling, texturing, rigging, animating etc. or whatever you need. He knows it, and I've always told him as well as many other's that I don't expect anything but somewhat engaging into finishing it. He might not have done it perfectly, but it shows that he at least tries and gave himself time to do the - probably - most boring job.

Summary: Texturing sucks, but you still gotta do it.

Ok, I was rly worried about the textures, cause I had do redo a lot of them and about 3 are straight photo sources but I'm rly stoked about how this model is turning out.

Little more preview. :)

BTW Jabbaloveslava the gun looks great! Can't wait to see it in game.

Still a WIP!

Model looks very nice... but arent the engines kinda small ? :P Looks funny, i think you should make them a bit longer. Other than that its awsome.

Ya, I noticed that as soon as I posted the picture. The cockpit is way to big. Thankfully a easy scale down. ;)

what's with those ugly stripes? :P lol - I'll get a headache if I'll see it in-game xD

yeah the stripes could use a bit of work. great looking model. All these curves. Like mini's n1.

Reason for stripes. ;) Ya, I need to straighten mine.

lol - okay xD you're somewhat excused then

BUT you have to make the stripes more streamlined like on the pic :P

I've spent this monday on modelling a M2-49 from BF2 for Rebelscum. I did it in school in Maya - which really isn't a big problem  but I spent all yesterday to get used to the UV Texture Editor xD NOW I got used to it :P so it's also UV Mapped. a classmate is gonna do most of the texture and I think he's doing a great job so far  It's not finished until We got it fully textured :D But the meshes are done  So take a look at it in Wireframe:

it's on 789 polygons - lol.

not sure but it seems a little too high-poly for SWBF2 to me. Many bevels and stuff
