Generally I stay away, in terms of hoping for or getting all pumped up about the "leaked Battlefront 3 this" and "leaked Battlefront 3 that" things unless it's a video, or something more official. These look cool, but are a prime example of why. They are, sort of, faked. They're concept screens.

There seems to be a "Bail" button on that Xbox controller, I wonder that's for.

I'd say these images were probably real - from a "mockup" standpoint. It's probably something that was pitched to the Free Radical team by an artist during development. I don't see any reason for someone to put so much work into these just for a joke. But the point ends up being that this isn't what it'll look like when/if it ever gets done. The Free Radical version is dead.

I had to laugh when I saw the Lorem Ipsum text on the first screenshot. That's classic placeholder text, and is sortof a joke among web/game/application developers.

Hahah, yeah, I laughed too. Though I can't say I knew that game/software developers used it. I suppose it's handy in any situation.

Yeah, as I said, they're concept screens, not actually "leaked menu shots." The pics themselves say so.

For all we know Rebellion could do an Elite Squardon port, which would probably be the closest we'd ever get to Free Radical's SWBF3, but that's highly unlikely. Right now I'm taking a guess that LucasArts have it under their internal development, as they're the only ones who know where the game is truly at.

I use it all the time in the limited web design I do, and when I make Publisher and Word templates for my friends I use it, I believe Microsoft has it in a few of their templates as well.

I do think they're real because they have that Free Radical feel about it. You know how every dev has their own art style? Yeah, this looks and feels like FR's handy work.

If that was the real menu, well, that would be awesomes. Although, if that was the xbox control scheme, well... Those controls would kinda suck, lol.

Well they do look legit... They look amazing and have that nice Star Wars feel actually

Well, I for one will not be looking back on this Battlefront game. I will be looking forward to whatever Battlefront game comes out next. While I do feel curiosity at how the whole "Dark Obi-Wan" thing would have worked, it's not burning, and I hope for BFIII they come up with a new story.

It's just a shame that BFIII only became Elite Squadron.

I have a PSP but I very rarely play on it, I might get Elite Squadron just to see what it's like. And of course, a new story for BFIII would be awesome, but I wouldnt mind if the ES story was kept for it.

Just saw the screens and I don't think it's a joke. Like somebody has already said, these images could have gotten released before FR was closed. Even if BF3 only came out for the 360 I'd still get it cuz we need BF2 upgraded badly!

My PSP is so screwed up I don't want to get any games for it, haha.

Free Radical's gone. It doesn't matter if they're "too good to be true" or not.

Free Radical are gone, but the people of Free Radical are now in Crytek UK (I think?). Eitherway, we can only hope FR's BFIII is remade, since the assets and whatnot are on the move, just not the engine/code etc.

Whoever takes it over, I just hope they keep the ground to space transition that you see in the leaked footage.

Free radicals remnants doesn't have the assets, and doesn't have a contract to work on the game. They only have the engine. So your statement was super wrong.

As for ground to space, if you watch the clip, there's no AI, as the mode was super flawed, so it was removed. It doesn't matter because the game doesn't exist as we'd seen it in the footage though.
