BOOM! Headshot?

I've been playing today, and noticing something strange. (Usually i dont pay attention to this kinda stuff) When u shoot a trooper higher than the shoulders, it'll make a short gold flash. This only works if u shoot higher than the shoulders and near the head. Could this be a special effect when u get a "head shot"?

yes, i know this, and when you get yellow glow it causes more damage for example with a blaster pistol it will take like 5 or 6 shots but in the head it will take 2-3, maybe this is just added to show that you did get a head shot

My heads shots don't like counting, and I've never noticed this...so....maybe it's a MOD that you downloaded and didn't take into account?I mean, I'll stand there sniping for hours and less than half of my shot RIGHT in the visor count as a headshot, and those that kill in one hit, another half count. And no flash. I mean...dude...

Wanna get a screeny?

Lol. So I've heard. By the way...SPTest doesn't work for me. Binksetvolume@12 is non-existant or something...Yar..

Tedarm92, no its not

I can easily snipe and kill 5 bots with 6 shots when they spawn (which means Head Shot!) and sometimes - when I don't even shoot - it pops up with the message: HEADSHOT

which means that I got a headshot by olooking up in the air...? no - I don't think so

Headshot i think comes from when you make a critical hit on the enemies weak spot, that being his head. I've also noticed that there is an sfx file for headshot as well.
