I replaced all the Venators with Dragonum's one.
But they seem to be too big, so I decided to make one burning and drifting down.
Sounds good, but have you pics?
Nope, because I have a crash atm.

No need, you could just scale them down to the size of the stock venator.

No! Why would we want Dragonum's venator then... The good thing about the new Venators is that they have the right scale.

Because they won't have issues with disappearing at certain angles? Not everything has to be exactly to the scale it is in the movies. Personally, I'd recommend scaling them down a bit, although you might have to sacrifice use of the top hangar and launch tube.

Seriously, you want everything to be canon, then
you make it. It's really annoying when people keep "suggesting" ideas.

Take it easy. The topic's author asked for this to be discussed and posted a poll re: the same.

I like Dragonum's Venator the most. If you want the Eviljedi Skin so bad then cut and paste specific parts of his TGA files onto Dragonums. Correct me if I'm wrong but if you just edited his(Dragonum's) skin, then wouldn't it appear fine?
Also I'm thinking the main cannons on the side need to be scaled up. And a few harmless lasers shooting out of prop turrets on the ships would be nice.

D'oh, I'm assuming the poll wants to know which model we DON'T want?
*after all it says "sue"*

D'oh.
Well, I guess you can mark this as a typo.

In Dragonum's Venator the invidual flight deck hangers (which would be great to have) are about the size of the stock hanger, which is bigger than they are meant to be. This means if you scale down the Venator to a third of its size (it's about 3300 metres long, three times what it should be. In that video imagine the turrets are three times too small for the socket) then the hangers should work out right. Simply scale down and all shall work once more. I'd replace the hanger roof texture though. Weird circles....
And did I see you were planning to do that crashing Venator thing I mentioned earlier? If so, brilliant. I'd like to see some Republic ships get blown up for once!
EDIT: Any chance of a teleporter letting you go up to the bridge? Maybe an Easter Egg that spawns Grievous or Dooku for you to duel....

3300? How do you know that? If you know it cause you are using the game's objective distance meassure then... no, cause it's fake. Stcok cruisers and destroyers from Battlefront 3 are 1/3 of their original size. If the game's distance meassure tells you it's 3300 then... only -300 meters (-1/11 that model's size) and it will be perfect.

I read it in the topic in which you can get Dragonum's Venator.
And Spiderpig's problem is that it is
too big. Using the scale every other map uses shoudn't be a problem. Anyway, think of the Munificents. They'll be midgets in comparison.
Battlefront 3
Time traveller eh?

It would be great if Battlefront 3 its out!^^
Topic:
Dragonums Venator are awesome, its the right scale for the Map and for Battlefront 2.
Scale it down doesnt fix the problem.

Haven't we all agreed 'realism'=bad? Anyway, what is important here is relative scale. The Venators at their current sizes are too big for the map and the other ships. That's why they need to be made three times smaller.

Without digressing too much from the topic at hand - "realism" (insomuch as that can be defined in a fictional setting) isn't "bad." It's a design decision and a valid one.
However, when
anything takes precedence over gameplay, I believe becomes a flaw. Realism isn't the only culprit - I know I'll just as often criticize "wacky" maps for the same problem. When an author loses sight of making something that's fun for making something that's accurate, then I think it becomes an issue.
That doesn't necessarily look like it's the case here - the ship is a larger one, but it also has a lot added to the interior that's accessible. If the space can be used well and it doesn't feel like players have to slough around to get from place to place, then maybe it's worth having a larger model.

The problem is that it doesn't fit in the map. That's why it should be scaled down. It would still work fine at a third of the size.

I don't think it looks to big.
Then again I don't have much experience with modding. =/

Relative scale.
It's three times too big for the asteroids, the Munificents, and its own turrets. That, and scaling it down would make the internal hanger sizes about right. And of course, three of them are too big for the map. Spiderpig said that earlier, which is why he was reluctant to use it.

It's not that easy to rescale an entire ship you know. Also, how do you keep being so sure that the ship should be scaled down exactly 3 times it's original size?
