Hey, buddy, I WALKED to your pyramid from GTia square to place the portal there in the first place. You posted the coordinates earlier in this thread, it'd be pretty easy to make a trek out there. Might take a couple ingame days, but you'll make it. Then just /home set and you're done.

I have a question about homes. How do I teleport home without having to die to go home. Every time I travel I get lost and cant get home. So I go through the Nether in hopes I go through the right portal to get to the house close to mine and the Ghasts get me. Thanks.

You can't. Twilight Warrior didn't want that.

In the future when the metro is complete, I'll be making minecart lines to outlying settlements. Don't expect this to be done for a few months though, I have school and it;ll take me a good while to carve out paths to the settlements.

For a good reason. Otherwise people would just use that as their transportation system.

Why not just use the nether? Build two portals in the start and end destination. Then build a secure path in the nether. The path should be 8x shorter in the nether.

You guys could make minecart tracks to these locations :)

Minecarts are really buggy, unpredictable, and laggy in multiplayer.

Unfortunately, the nether's being finicky. If the portals are too close to each other, rather than making a new portal, it will default to the closest one. I traveled all the way to Craig City and stepped in the nether portal there with that idea, it dumped me into the main portal we have in the nether. Then when I stepped back into THAT portal, it transported me to the one next to the mob trap.
If the nether portals are far enough away, I'm sure it'll work, but I'm not sure how far Safahfja is.


On a side note, concerning Multiverse. It's requiring a non-recommended build in its current state. Meaning if I upgrade to use it, it could potentially break our other plugins. And since half of them are administrative, I'd rather not do that right now. If we get a Craftbukkit update, then I'll put it on and try it out to see if we can keep it, but it's not looking like that will happen anytime too terribly soon.

Why was the server rolled back? I lost several furnaces that had stacks of iron and gold in them, as well as coal. I also had one of my chests reset(losing 9 diamonds, and a bunch of Gandalf's stuff, too) and the progress of exploring a cave lost. Was there a griefing incident?

Ummmmmm no....?
The server shut down cleanly last night and I haven't heard any other reports of people losing stuff...

EDIT:
WeatherControl has been shut down. It's incompatible with CraftBukkit r1060 and there aren't any other weather controlling plugins that have updated yet. I'll keep you posted.

I - as well as many others - have. I don't remember what direction it's in and to be quite honest it doesn't look very impressive.

Guys, I'm terribly sorry... The server didn't shut down properly last night and the world files got corrupted. And it turns out the backup plugin wasn't working with the latest CraftBukkit build, either. So the last successful backup is from the 15th. I know you guys put a lot of work into the map... I did, too (my TIE fighter is incomplete again... ), but I had to roll it back.

On a related note: if you guys aren't seeing the "Saving the world... SUPER HERO!" thing every so often, let me know... the sad part is that this kind of thing could have been prevented.

Sometimes I really wish I wasn't broke.... lol.
