Targa type 10 not currently supported? [Solved]

im trying to skin but when i converted a file to tga format using paint shop pro trail version, the mungelog said this:
ERROR[PC_texturemunge msh\rep_inf_ep3trooper.tga]:Targa type 10 not currently supported.

Yep, Paint Shop Pro uses that and it's not supported. I'm gonna pull a Linus here and say: get the GNU Image Manipulation Program. And next time use the search function. This has been asked and answered about 1000 times LOL :lol:

Ya, google 'gimp' without the quotes. It should be very near, if not the top.
It's a good program too.

how do you turn it off, with GIMP? if its wiith that gimp thing i cant do it cause its too complicated

In the save options or wherever you find do that in whatever application you're using.
Uncheck 'RLE compression'

(and how is GIMP complicated. To do that in Gimp, all you do is save it as a .tga and uncheck 'rle compression' in the dialog that pops up...)

ok i just figured out how to make the skins work using psp. it has to do with making new layer btw
