How do I put multiple textures on a model? [Solved]
I'm trying to texture some buildings at the moment but I dunno how you put multiple textures on a model (like in a normal map where there are say lots of metal textures) so I don't have to do loads of UV stuff and lose image quality. Also, will I be able to export this with Mshex?

Re: Texturing...
Clusters
Oh you want a better explanation
One way to do it, this is the way I do it others may have different ways, select your model mesh and in the Render side bar under Get/Property/Texture Projection choose a projection type, cubic is always a good starting point. It can be change in the texture editor afterwards.
Now to satisfy mshex, go to Render/Get/Texture/Image and say Yes to the pop up. That should put a noIcon texture on your model. You can either leave that or change it to what would be the majority texture of the model by selecting an image.
Now the fun part, with the mesh selected use raycast polygon select (u) to select a group of polygons you want to have a certain texture. Press CTL-L once all the polies are selected this will turn them white. Now go to Render/Get/Texture/Image and say Yes to the pop up. Now select the image you want these polygons to have. You can go into the editor (Alt-7) to adjust the UVs as required. Do this for all the different groups of polygons.
The thing I like about using clusters is you can select the cluster (select the mesh and expand it out in xsi explorer and look for clusters, under there will be a list of polygons, each one of those are the clusters you created) and change the texture or even hide them (press H while having the appropriate polygon cluster selected) that way you can also get to interior or hard to see polygons.

Re: Texturing...
Umm... I've been trying this but I'm not getting the pop-up (I know what it looks like but when I add a image nothing happens). If I then select a poly I wanna give a certain texture I add it and in Alt-7 it all over the entire UV Map.
