scaling issues [Solved]

Post by JimmyAngler »

So I made a pistol all fine and dandy but I want it to be a bit bigger. Is there a way to scale all the pieces at once in softimage rather than doing each one individually? I clicked on dummy root under my model scene which scaled everything up a bit but It's still the same tiny size in-game.

easy, select all models and scale them together to 1.1, 1.2 whatever scale you want :) after that, freeze model for keep that size

where's that freeze button? :) Also some of my objects are rotated 90 so their xyz axis is different then my other objects. It will make those objects correctly but the others will go crazy.

You also can try ro scale it after the export. Write in your pistol.msh.option -scale 2.0.
Worked fine for the geo wings.

You could merge all of them and only export the result of that, which will be easily scaleable.
Or freeze transforms (right panel, Transform>Freeze All Transforms) and then scale all of them.
