When the .exe finishes installing I don’t see a application to open XSI Softimage 4.2 can someone please help me?

Do I need to download the free 7.5 version, then override files with the 4.2 version?

There's pretty much no point in using any version other than Mod Tool 7.5 or one of the full versions: 2012, 2013, 2014, or 2015, which you can get for free if you're a student.

You'll be fine if you just stick with Mod Tool 7.5, since it's free and you don't have to pirate a license for it like you would with 4.2 or the other decade-old versions.

I see thank you for telling me. I will stick to the free 7.5 version.

Although the last version (2015) has some nicer features, a better UI and also got it for free (as a student...from a place far, far away). ZETools also works fine there.
