I found a nice jet model, with UVs and textures included. It imports fine, and goes through MshEx fine, but the trouble is that the cockpit glass doesn't have a texture - it's just shaded in XSI. So in the MSH Viewer it shows up grey - as though it were missing a texture. I've applied a texture under this, and exported, and the .tga that I applied is mentioned in the MSH file, but there's no change in the MSH Viewer. I tried getting rid of the shading in XSI, then when I went to export this, MshEx crashed.
What can I do? Is there a way to get rid of the shading in XSI and not have it crash MshEx? Or is there some way to hex it out?

Re: Export trouble
Have a look at the Render Tree(hotkey 7) and see if this object or cluster has all the nodes required and if not then correct it.

Re: Export trouble
The render tree's my problem. I open it and XSI crashes, or I get a bluescreen critical error and a forced computer restart. Anyway, I've gotten around my problem by just placing an elongated sphere over the cockpit and giving that a texture rather than messing around with the cockpit's materials themselves. I'd still like to know why my render tree hates me, though.
