Yeah, I checked some pictures on Google. I think it's fun to work without references and just make up something - but working after references is also fun, but it requires certain skill I kinda lack sometimes...

Nice lego guys. Maybe making Pepper and the Brickster would be in order? (Lego Island 2)

Yeah, and the eyes need to be less... goggle-ish and more... like the picture Skyhammer put.

Wow... as soon as I began working on them so does everyone else. It's nice though. Good work! You should add that in as a unit in the lego era.

My only recommendation is to bevel the part where his mouth starts. It looks a tad too sharp.

Finally made a good wood texture
Also, to get it as a weapon ingame, do I just place my parent null where I want a player to grip it?

The spot where you want the soldiers right hand to be must be at 0.0.0. (the dummyroot)
EDIT: Im not sure since i have never set up a melee weapon before.

Ya know, it might be easiest to just model a "neck" (like when you take the head off a real lego character) and rig that up as the head. Then you can just attach any random head as a GeometryAddon --> meaning you do one export of the model (with override_texture) and then in each odf you do a head GeometryAddon and specify the OverrideTexture.
Just a thought
