Just played through conquest, won't even try the other modes since I know they just are NOT the kind of thing I like (don't take this the wrong way I just can't stand certain things). Firstly the gamemodes and era, I commend you for creating a new one but you really should get a new icon for the era but you don't have to since this doesn't make a great map only makes a great map better.

Ok, now my thoughts about the map, I spawned and thought... what? am I having a nightmare or something? (don't ask the reference... it's a long story) I couldn't tell one thing from the other, the map had no ambience no feel that you are really there which is the first thing a map should have before all else in my opinion. Secondly, the sides... I don't know what they are about, the units not moving correctly and all and lasers? Spam pistols? Spam guns (of course there was a few weapons that were capable of this spam...)? I have some sides that this map is desperately BEGGING for, the sides I have are based off of the REAL weapon muzzle velocities, fire rates, cartridges and more if you want I could let you use the sides minus 2 units per side. Thirdly, and this is probably the best thing of the map, it has a good layout, from what I could see the forest and base could REALLY allow for some dynamic gameplay, maybe 3 cps per area?

Now you know what's wrong with the map and it's potential, I have these sides completed but they are only accurately representing the Russian and German weapons. things you can do to improve the map (I HIGHLY suggest you do all of these):

-Change the ground textures, seriously I have never used the color tool except once to add darkness to the terrain and I scrapped that map in the end
-Sides, already explained this above no need to explain again
-The sky, a night setting seems pretty good, but it's incomplete firstly add a more natural "fog", add some lighting (dark cyan color) if you don't do these things don't make it a night map
-Use the layout you have wisely, put a few bases in each area, the forest and the base and make sure they intertwine it really can create some good gameplay
-Make sure you can't see the edge of the map or in this case the blank spots, cover it up with the "billboards" pandemic used on endor and yavin
-Smooth out the terrain, all you really need to do is switch to blend tool while in height mode make it 100x100 and it will look MUCH better, but if you want really good results I suggest doing it piece by piece so you dont get floating objects and lower height or higher terrain then you want
-Foliage, it's a MUST-HAVE for ALL forest maps, if you don't have foliage in your forest part of the map it will NOT be good

Now if you do all those things I'm SURE that you're map will be GREAT, oh and also last thing the file size WAY too big I think there are tuts on how to make it smaller so go make sure its under 100 mb compressed before you release, good luck :wink: .

Ok, this is my short review of this map. I will not go to far because I know this is alpha...

Conquest...
1. Not enough untis (even though you says it would crash in multiplayer.)
2. Not enough units on the field

RPG
1. Make it for people not playing multiplayer!!!
2. Add units if you want it just to be people in multiplayer then they can take away Al units. You worked to hard on that mode to make it for the few players that play online at a time.
3. I like the creative characters... not in WW2 though
4. If I spawn at one the CPs (forgot wich one) it puts me in the water and I dye :(

Zombie mode
1.Like zombie skins. Look awsome.
2.Zombies move to slow. For the map that size a turtle could beat that zombie. I know you want it to be zombie like walking but it really is hard to get around the field.
3.Overall, not bad.

MAP....
Ok, you need more work on the map than any of the modes. I think you might of spent a little to much time on the units instead of focusing on the map. The textures are wierd so stick with one to 3. I agree to make it a light map. I don't think the map really fits the dark. Some of the ground go through some of the objects like the dumpster. Fixing it would make it look a bunch better. The waterfall looks cool, but you should deffinately add water at the bottom like a little lake. not on to dry ground.

Overall, kind of random. Will give mroe detailed review onece I get beta.

False I did not say it should be a light map, I said if he refuses to change the lighting it should be a bright map. Also the waterfall has water under it... trust me I figured out the hard way.

Wow, I failed to find it....

BTW. If you think there are enough units, then make the cps closer, or make the battlefield smaller. Cause I only saw about 5 units (good or bad) on the field when I played.

Me too! I've come to conclude that this has a whole lot of work and has enough things that it needs to even be an alpha. Kind of dissipointed right now, but hopefully you'll fix everything by 1.0 comes out.

Yeah, Par, how many units are actually across the whole field? I saw about 2 of my own friends (whom I killed because I was bored) and one bad guy (who I killed because I was bored). Then I killed myself (because I was bored).
Move everything in a bit.

Sorry about not replying - I have been on a short break for 3 days.
The unit problems I will address in this post:
- Unit Speeds, I do not know how this went wrong, but I have fixed it already so no worries about that.
- Unit Amounts, I added as many as I could without breaking Multiplayer compatability. This is for the Zombie and WW2 Conquest mode. Beforehand, I made WW2 Conquest have up to 100 units per side, basically Uber Mode. I have changed that to 32 units per side, so please say if you think I should change them back.
- Map, Yes I have stopped working on the units as they are almost done (just the WW2 units now) and I know this map needs a lot of work. Bob if you could lend me those units you promised that would brighten up the WW2 sides a lot. Anyway back onto the base of the map. The forest will be having a nice grass foilage effect added. And at zombie mode I will be adding lots of mist, and possibly making the zombie units faster. (They can 1 hit K.O already, you know...)
- Overall, I will be adding a few :quotes: secrets :quotes: for you to find. 8), and the map will improve, I promise you. This is only a ALPHA, so therefore nowhere near finished yet. Sides are almost finished though.
