Hey ive been trying to get XSI to work for a long time because i want to start making weapons for my maps. So I downloaded fine.
But whenever I load it up it goes blank and dose not responding. Ive tryed some thing like making sure quick time and stuff is off but i cant see to find what to do.
I have a GeFORCE 7300GT if that has anything to do with it but plz help if you had this problem too or you know how to help.
Ps sry if this is in the wrong place im just getting back on to my account after a year.

XSI (especially for the first time) takes quite a while to start up. Leave it alone for up to two minutes*, don't start any other programs (maybe go off and get a cup of tea or something), then check back to see if it did anything.
*Randomly educated guess. Perhaps a bit on the high side....
Welcome (back?) to GT! As a little side note I don't think the staff here like colored text of that sort.

Ya well it crashes and if u leave up it stays like that for ever. I really want to try and make some weapon for a super realistic map( yes i know its swbf2 but i made some pretty realistic physics before).

You can't edit the physics of a game engine.

Laser trails invisible: Skinning work. No XSI needed.
High gravity: Utterly impossible in BF2. No XSI needed.
Die from a fall: Simple ODF editing. No XSI needed.

Whenever my XSI doesn´t respond, I delete the folder it creates in C:\users\. Try doing that (I don´t know what is wrong but it always works).

look for a file called runonce.bat should be in the application/bin folder of your xsi folder
then double click on it to run it once, that may help, failing that and given that you say no error box pops up try checking the XSI faq on the XSI website others may have had a similar problem.

so you did a windows search of the XSI folder for runonce.bat and couldn't find it?
What version of XSI are you trying to use, what version of windows are you running?
Here is the link for the XSI Wiki
http://softimage.wiki.softimage.com/ind ... ry:Support which may help you as well.

There is no XP 95*, your either using Windows XP or Windows 95, and I sure hope it isn't the latter.

Don't worry, we all make mistakes, hence my little note under my last post...
Your computer might not have enough memory to run XSI while it has other programs open, how much CPU Usage does your computer use when its idle, running no extra programs?
