Where are the unmunged sound files?

Post by wishihadaname »

Where do I find the sound files in an unmunged format? I copied and pasted a line out of the geo campaign that plays a specific track when you spawn, it worked hence that must mean that somewere in mod tools there are uncompressed versions of the songs, does anyone know were that would be? I need to find them so I can add aciton music to my campaign for when its needed.

The uncompressed sounds aren't in the modtools, but you can reference the default ones form the game. Just like using the game's default sides without having to make a custom side.

No, I want to use the ambient music found in campaigns, when I use the default geo track it has slow parts which look really bad when they play during say, a charge. So I wanted to set it so that when action packed objectives start the music is accordingly epic. I know the soundtrack has the right songs I just don't know were I can listen to them so that I can determine which ones to use.

What I do is play the campaigns with all sound except music turned off and wait for an adequate sound, then I look in the stock campaign script at that objective and see what music is playing.
