Thanks! Here is an updated version of it with more dirt and more objects around it, so as to make the wall actually stand up correctly, if you know what I mean. I'm making an apocalyptic type map, so I think this will fit very nicely. Basically, the map is a moderate to heavily battle damaged town. Expect a WIP in the next month or so.

EDIT: Yikes! I didn't realize how bad the UV's were on the outside edges. Will fix that!

I think that looks much better. Just a tad more smoothing to do, and fixing the blurry parts. Now to make the normal map, lowrez, and shadowvolume! Then I will post the end result of my work with an ingame screenshot.

I didn't think it could be made any better, but you just proved me wrong.

made the UV's seamless at the expense of the black dirt patches. I think this will be the final version, as seamless UV's make a model look better than just a small patch of dirt, imho. I probably could add the dirt back in but I think it looks fine without it. Fixed blurriness too. What do you guys think?

btw expect all art for my upcoming project Earth: Apocalypse to be this high quality! :D

I like this version much better. I wish I had your skill in UV/texturing!

I got the first texture from CG textures, just changed the contrast and brightness slightly. The second texture is myg1_bldg_base_a, which worked better then I expected, for a stock texture and all! Then I just used a bunch of cubic > best fit projections and adjusted them accordingly. Practice messing around with the UV editor. Thats partially how I learned, along with some helpful video tutorials. One you get used to the controls and using projections it works quite nicely. Next up: Making textures myself. Theres nothing wrong with using other textures but if I can make a high quality texture myself then I get exactly what I want! Thanks for all the kind comments everyone! I encourage everyone to take up modelling and texturing. Good luck, and above all, have fun while doing it!

Something I whipped up in about half hour or so, I didnt look at the time. Has a nice size comparison for ya too. Most buildings will use the same or similar texture and have the same or similar charred texture, I hope that doesnt get too boring so I may adjust that. Anyhow, screens:

It looks pretty good. One thing I did notice, though, is that your rubble seems to only be irregular on one axis (it's like a jagged shape extruded). You could consider "messing things up" in the other axis as well.
EDIT: There's also a part on the far left in the first picture that looks a little too square, IMO.

Created a WIP page for my 3d art in the 3d modelling forum. This is only until I get halfway done mapping. Please post all feedback regarding my models there!

Thanks :D

I created an animation and corrected the size of the model, because before that the Z6 was 3 times bigger than the clonetrooper
(I used Ande's tcw pilot because that was the first unit i found. In Battlefront the Z6 will be the weapon for a tcw arc trooper)

Whoa! That is some fantastic work. I was going to type earlier that it looks like you'll need an animation for the gun, but you've beat me to it! The model really is well done.

Do you think you would ever consider releasing it?
