Anyone seen the game informer magazine with the section of COD6? Heres some confirmed details:
-You play as a new character, Soap is a Captain, you see his face (he looks ALOT like Kamarov, even holds an AK)
- the AUG, FAMAS, UMP, combat shields have been confirmed in screenshots
- M4 seems to be an upgraded REC-7
- New "Spec Ops" gametype, similar to Mile High Club, CO-OP, two player rush into the map in slow mo for a brief second to have time to react
- Co-Op will not be in story mode, but other modes with AI
- Takes place in at least Russia, and somewhere in South America
- More freeform areas
- unknown US soldier seen in South America

If you'd like to actually see (and read) the article, I found this on youtube:

Make sure you watch it in HD full screen, otherwise you probably won't be able to read the writing.

EDIT: I think it's also worth noting that there will be civilians in at least the South American levels, as indicated by the caption underneath the militia picture

Enough with the "Crysis is better than everything else." attitude, we get it.

I heard from a GameStop employee that the Modern Warfare franchise is trying to ease out of the CoD franchise and start their own separate. . .franchise. :funny2:

Ease out? That does make me lol!

Thats because why ease out when you can do it easily? And they did. Notice how it's not Call Of Duty, it's just Modern Warfare 2.

Pretty sure that's what private messaging is for. :P

I'm glad Infinity Ward wants to take the Call of Duty out of the MW series. It's quickly becoming something quite awsome, and quite different from all the other Call of Duty games.

Same game engine. Which I don't mind. And the E3 gameplay looked really impressive.

I meant plot-wise. Modern Warfare and WWII are very different. :P
